It runs on Resound’s C5 processing chip (originally developed for the premium LiNX Quattro range), Natural Directionality II for improved speech in noise, and DFS Ultra II for feedback prevention.

The Key is available in three technology tiers (Key 2, Key 3, and Key 4), with rechargeable options available at the Key 4 level only. At that tier, you can expect up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Bluetooth connectivity on the Key supports direct streaming from iPhone and compatible Android devices at technology levels 3 and 4. All three tiers work with the Smart 3D app and Resound’s wireless accessories.

For everyday listening, including home conversations, quieter workplaces, phone calls, and typical social outings, the Key handles these situations reliably and comfortably.

The Resound Savi: The current essential range, with a notable upgrade

The Resound Savi launched in February 2026 as the direct successor to the Key, and it carries forward everything that made the Key a sensible choice while adding some genuinely significant improvements.

The most important update is in connectivity. The Savi is the first hearing aid in the essential category to support both Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio.

To explain what that means in practice: Bluetooth LE Audio is a newer, more efficient wireless standard that offers cleaner, more stable streaming with lower battery drain than standard Bluetooth.

Auracast is an emerging broadcast technology that allows you to connect directly to compatible sound systems in public spaces.

As more venues, including theatres, airports, cinemas, and lecture halls, install Auracast-compatible equipment, Savi users will be able to receive audio directly in their hearing aids with a single tap through the built-in Auracast Assistant in the Smart 3D app. This works even if your phone doesn’t yet have Auracast built in.
